Clauson Earns Red Lion Player of Week Honors
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Concordia University’s Danielle Clauson, a 5-10 senior forward from Edmonds, Wash., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the CCC office announced Monday.
Clauson led the Cavaliers in both of their contests last week, including matching a career high with 28 points against Westmont (Calif.) University, a team receiving votes in the NAIA Division I Coaches’ Poll. Clauson also recorded a double-double in a 96-86 victory over Simpson (Calif.) University, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Clauson hit 22 of 33 field goal attempts (.667), dished out seven assists and registered three steals.
