Tedder Gets Hot In Rout Of Pios
The Southern Oregon men's basketball team jumped out to a 26-point first half lead and cruised to a 74-59 victory over Pacific Union today in Klamath Falls.
Southern Oregon improved to 4-1 overall and will face Bethany tomorrow at 5:30 in Klamath Falls.
Freshman Kyle Tedder made four 3-pointers and turned in a game-high 21 points to lead the Raiders. Kellen Hawley had six points and seven rebounds, while Drew Herrera finished with five steals and five assists.
Aren Rennacker led Pacific Union with 19 points.
Leading 9-6 early in the first half, the Raiders caught fire and quickly turned the game into a rout.
Tedder, Sam Osofsky, Trevor McCay, Joe White and Dex Daum all had 3-pointers during a 36-13 run that gave the Raiders a 45-19 lead with just over a minute to play in the first half.
The Raiders finished the half shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 46 percent from 3-point land.
Southern Oregon cooled off to 40 percent shooting in the second half but were still able to cruise to victory.
