Nicole Gall scored 33 points in Lady Yotes win
GREAT FALLS, Idaho - Nicole Gall scored a game-high 33 points and The College of Idaho hit 10-of-19 shots from beyond the arc, as the No. 19 ranked Lady Yotes opened the season with an 88-70 victory over the University of Great Falls inside the McLaughlin Center.
It marks the second-straight season that the Lady Yotes (1-0) opened the year with a victory against a Frontier Conference school.
After hitting just 12-of-33 shots in the opening have, The C of I hit 54-percent of their field goal attempts in the second half to roll to the win.
The Coyotes forced 34 turnovers by the Argonauts (0-1), as Gall added seven steals, seven rebounds, and a pair of blocked shots in the victory. Meghan Hughes and Katelin Shannon each had 14 points in the win, with Marquina Gilliam-Hicks adding nine points, and Nicole Bruce and Dayna Drager each scoring eight.
Kezia Ford led four UGF players in double-figures with 16 points, with Jamie Young logging ten points and eight rebounds.
The Coyotes return to action on Monday with an exhibition game at home against Northwest Nazarene - with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
