SALEM, Ore. – Corban's men's soccer team honored senior Aaron Paulson (St. Helens, Ore.) on Senior Recognition Day, as the Warriors fell to Concordia, 9-0, Saturday afternoon on Warrior Field in the final game of the season.

The Warriors started out strong against the NAIA's 27th-ranked Cavaliers, holding Concordia scoreless for the first 10 minutes. However, the Cavalier offense heated up, as CU's Michael Chamberlain netted a one-timer on Evan Denmark's through ball for the game's first score in the 11th minute. Concordia would score four more goals in the next 34 minutes to take a 5-0 lead into halftime.

Concordia continued to control the ball in the second period, holding Corban to one second-half shot while finishing four more goals to account for the final margin.

For Concordia, Chamberlain completed a hat trick, while Brandon Nolan, Logan Sanchez, and Shaunovan Wilson each netted a pair of scores for the Cavaliers.

Corban freshmen James Myrvold (Sandy, Ore.) and Spencer Anderson (Glendale, Ariz.) shared goalkeeping duties for the Warriors. Myrvold made a game-high tying four saves while playing the entire first half before Anderson came in at the break, making four game-high tying saves of his own while manning the net for the final 45 minutes. For Concordia, Claudio Lazar made one save in 45 first-half minutes between the pipes for the Cavaliers before being replaced by Cole Dahle at the break. Dahle stayed in goal for the final 45 minutes and did not have to make a save.

With the loss, Corban concludes the season with a 5-12-1 overall record, including 4-10-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Meanwhile, Concordia improves to 15-2-1 overall, with a conference-best 12-1-1 mark in CCC action. The Warriors will return to action in August 2011 following the offseason.
