Kia Gibson was named the Red Lion Player of the Week.
NU's Gibson Earns Red Lion Weekly Honor
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Northwest University (Wash.) center Kia Gibson, a 6-0 senior from Spokane, Wash., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Gibson averaged 20.0 points and 7.0 rebounds as the Eagles posted CCC victories over Northwest Christian University (78-59) and Corban University (74-59).
Northwest improved to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the CCC. Gibson had 23 points and nine rebounds in the win over NCU, and added 17 points and five rebounds in the victory over Corban. In the two games, she sank 15 of 23 shots from the field and 10 of 12 from the free throw line.
