CALDWELL, Idaho - Holding Warner Pacific without a made field goal for the first seven-plus minutes of the second half, The College of Idaho blew open a tight game with a 25-8 run, defeating the Knights, 63-49, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The win for the Lady Yotes (9-6, 4-1 CCC) was their fifth victory in six outings and marked the eighth-straight game in which they held their opponent under 60 points.

Trailing 28-23 at the break, the Knights (6-6, 1-3) closed within 31-28 on the strength of five free throws, but watched as the Coyotes turned up the defense. A steal and basket by Katelin Shannon started the game-deciding spurt, with a Nicole Bruce lay-up and a Tyra Rickman jumper pushing the lead to 37-28. A Nicole Gall triple pushed the margin to 46-34, with a three-point play from Dayna Drager and a pair of Gall free throws making it 56-36 with eight minutes to play.

Gall had a big night in the win, scoring 19 points, adding seven assists, four steals, and four rebounds. Shannon added 14 points, five rebounds, and five steals for the Coyotes, who made 45-percent of their field goal attempts. Rickman had eight rebounds and six points in the victory.

WP got 19 points and seven rebounds from Miranda Holenstein, but went just 1-for-14 from outside the arc and committed 25 turnovers in the loss. The Knights converted just 6-of-30 field goal attempts after halftime.

The C of I hosts 15th-ranked Concordia tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.
