Warner Pacific Surges Past Raiders, 83-66
PORTLAND , Ore. – Warner Pacific broke a 55-55 tie with an 11-0 run in the second half to surge past Southern Oregon at C.C. Perry gym tonight in front of a homecoming crowd.
The visiting Raiders gave the 20th ranked Knights all they could handle for much of the contest. SOU led 41-39 at halftime, and the game was tied 14 different times. Ryan Staker tied the game for the last time with a short jumper in the lane at the 11:35 mark before the Knights took over and outscored the Raiders 28-11 the rest of the way.
Jake Glisson dropped in a game high 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for WP. Kaylone Riley registered his 14th double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Webster Moreland chipped in with 12 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.
Jarrad Childs scored a team high 22 for the Raiders on 7-12 shooting. Staker added 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Warner Pacific improves to 20-7 overall and 12-5 in CCC action. Southern Oregon falls to 11-15 and 3-16.
The Knights face #2 Oregon Tech tomorrow night in front of a sold out crowd. Seniors Jake Glisson, Kaylone Riley, Jared Mace, Tom Higgins, and Reggie Guyton will be honored before the game.
