CCC Women's Hoop Tournament Tips Tonight
CCC Women's Basketball Report
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Four games are on tap Tuesday night as the Cascade Collegiate Conference women's basketball tournament opens with quarterfinal games at campus sites.
Tip-off in each locale is 7:30 p.m. local time.
No. 20 College of Idaho, the CCC regular season champion and recipient of an automatic bid to the NAIA Championships, is the top seed in the tourney. The Yotes entertain eighth-seeded Concordia in Caldwell. The two programs shared the regular season crown last year, with CU defeating C of I in the CCC tournament finale in Portland.
In other action tonight, seventh-seeded Southern Oregon travels to Portland to face Warner Pacific at C.C. Perry Gymnasium. The two teams met last Friday night in Portland, with the Knights posting a 79-58 victory. Third-seeded Northwest University hosts sixth-seeded Corban in Kirkland, and fourth-seeded Eastern Oregon hosts fifth-seeded Oregon Tech in La Grande.
The winner of the CCC tournament will claim the conference's second automatic berth in the NAIA Championships (if C of I also wins the tournament, the second berth will go to the tournament runner-up).
You can catch video streaming of all CCC tournament games free of charge on CCC TV, the conference's Internet network. Click here to access all the action.
