PORTLAND, Ore. – Southern Oregon University’s Jacki Speer, a 6-2 senior forward from Centralia, Wash., has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball.

It is the second honor of the season for Speer.

Last week, Speer averaged 24.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in helping the Raiders run their winning streak to three straight with victories over Northwest and Evergreen.

In a 74-62 win over Northwest, currently the CCC’s second-place team, Speer scored 25 points and pulled down 16 rebounds. She was 13 of 15 from the free throw line. The following night, in an 85-64 win over Evergreen, Speer scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. She was 9 of 15 from the field.

Speer, who leads the CCC in scoring and rebounding, now has 21 double-doubles on the season and 43 over the past two seasons.
