The 2010 event is being held at the Keeter Gymnasium on the campus of College of the Ozarks (Mo.).

Warner Pacific (22-10) fell for the third consecutive season the first round of the national tournament. It was the Knight’s fifth straight trip to the tournament. Ricardo Alliman scored a game-high 30 points to lead CU. Jake Glisson had a team-high 23 points for WPC.

The first half was one of the most evenly matched of the national tournament so far this season. The opening period offered ties and lead changes, but Warner Pacific maintained a small advantage on the scoreboard for most of the first 20 minutes of play. The lead for the Knights was never larger than six points, and two for Cedarville.

After trailing 39-37 at halftime, the Yellow Jackets (26-8) made a 4-0 run to open the second half and take the lead back. Cedarville spread the lead to four points three times in the second half, and controlled for the majority of the half.

A Glisson three-pointer with 1:51 left in regulation gave WPC the lead back. Alliman hit a shot on the inside on the ensuing possession to give the Yellow Jackets the lead back, 71-70. The Knights’ Webster Moreland made the first of two free throws and tied the game at 71 with 24 seconds left. Derrick Hannon drove to the basket on Cedarville’s final possession, but missed a short jumper around Kaylone Riley. Warner Pacific failed to get a shot off in the final two seconds of regulation.
CU outscored Warner Pacific 15-6 in the extra period.

Thirteenth-seeded Cedarville finished the game shooting 49 percent from the field, and 33 percent from behind the perimeter. Warner Pacific was held to 18 percent from behind the arc, and shot 36 percent from the field. The Knights shot a season low 54 percent from the free throw line.

Matt Harner scored 15 points for the Yellow Jackets, while Austin Foote and Chris Beals each scored 11 points. Reggie Guyton and Webster Moreland added 18 and 14 points for WPC.
