Hustlin’ Owls Sign Australian
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore., -- Oregon Tech head men’s basketball coach Danny Miles announced today that Austen Flint, a 6-1 point guard from Bendigo, Australia has signed a letter of intent to join the Hustlin’ Owls next season.
Flint, a member of the under 20 state of Victoria team and the Bendigo Braves averaged 19.8 points, 6.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds for Bendigo High School. Flint will be the eighth Australian to play for head coach Miles including All-American Todd Matthews, Sam Fotu, and most recently Danny Mills and Josh Wetzler.
“It is incredible that we are able to add Austen” said Hustlin’ Owls head coach Danny Miles “Mr. Flint is our eighth in a long line of outstanding players to come play at Oregon Tech from Down Under.”
Austen Flint is the son of David and Naomi Flint. Austen’s father David, grew up in Portland, Oregon and played basketball at the University of Portland. Austen will be a general studies major at Oregon Tech this fall.
