C of I's Tyler Thurston is just one shot out of the lead after Day 1
WILDER, Idaho - Will Snow shot a first-round 69 to help Concordia University to the Day 1 lead at The College of Idaho Invitational at River Bend Golf Course.
Snow is atop the leaderboard at three-under par, one shot ahead of teammate, Jed Dalton, and C of I sophomore Tyler Thurston, after 36 holes.
The Cavaliers hold a two-round team total of 586 – seven shots ahead of the host Coyotes, who shot a second-round 295, the third lowest single-round team score in program history. Thurston's round was the lowest by a C of I player this season.
Brent McKee of Northwest Christian and Mitch Card of Simpson University each sit three strokes back – at even par.
Northwest Nazarene sits in third-place in the team race, 17 shots out of first, with NCU 21 shots out of the lead. Simpson is 33 shots back, Corban 40 shots out of the lead, with Warner Pacific in seventh, 50 shots from the top.
The final round will shotgun start at 9 a.m.
