PORTLAND, Ore. -- The following student-athletes have been named Cascade Collegiate Conference Players of the Week for the period April 12-18:

Golf
Men – Concordia’s Jed Dalton, a freshman from Seattle, Wash., fired three straight 71s to win the College of Idaho Invitational by two strokes for his first collegiate win. Dalton also helped lead the Cavs to the team title as Concordia held off the host Coyotes by 13 strokes.

Women – Concordia’s Madeline Jarrett, a sophomore from Portland, Ore., won her first collegiate tournament with a four-stroke win at the College of Idaho Invitational. Jarrett opened with the lowest round of the two-day tournament by carding a one-over 73 en route to a seven-over 223 over 54 holes of play. Jarrett also helped lead the Cavs to their fifth team title this year.

Softball
Pitcher – Concordia’s Renee Santos, a junior from Portland, Ore., did not allow a run in 14 innings of work as she posted shutouts against Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho. With 28 strikeouts, Santos struck out an average of two batters per inning, while allowing just four hits. After allowing three hits to EOU on Friday, Santos tossed a one-hitter against the Coyotes on Saturday.

Player – Oregon Tech’s Kayde Schaefer, a sophomore from Beaverton, Ore., stepped up big for the Owls. She had at two hits in every game, blasted three home runs, and totaled seven RBI’s. She batted .571 for the week.

Track and Field
Men’s Track & Field – Oregon Tech junior Bryant Sentman set a school-record in the decathlon, and is currently ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, after taking home the event with a total of 6,598 points at the Mt. Hood Multi event this week. Sentman went 6-8 ¾ in the high jump (805 points), also qualifying Sentman for the high jump event at the NAIA national meet. Sentman also qualified for nationals with a provisional throw in the javelin of 189-9.

Women’s Track – Concordia’s Catherine Sims, a junior from Portland, Ore., won three events at the Lewis & Clark Invitational on Saturday. Winning the 400 with a 56.46, the No. 7 mark in the NAIA so far this season, Sims knocked .20 off the previous Concordia school record in the event to earn an NAIA automatic qualifier. Sims also won the 200 with a 25.41, just off her school record of 25.20 set earlier in the season, as well as taking gold in the long jump with a 17-9 1/2.

Women’s Field – Concordia’s Amanda Federici, a junior from Aloha, Ore., set a personal record with a 160-0 in the hammer at the Lewis & Clark Invitational to turn her NAIA provisional status into an automatic mark. Her toss is ranked No. 2 in the CCC and No. 3 all-time on the CU performance list. Competing for the first time ever in the discus, Federici earned a CCC Championship qualifying mark.

Baseball
Player – Concordia's Chris Jaime, a senior catcher from San Diego, Calif., hit .571 in five games played this week. Out of his eight hits, five were recorded as doubles as the senior finished with a .929 slugging percentage. He drove in six runs and walked on three occasions for a .647 on base percentage.

Pitcher – College of Idaho’s Ben Rosen, a senior from Eagle River, Alaska, pitched a complete-game victory over Concordia, spacing four hits, yielding two unearned runs and striking out seven. He also hit a pinch-hit home run to send Game 3 of the series to extra innings.
