MONROE, Ore.—
With all five competitors finishing inside the top seven places, Concordia grabbed a 50-stroke lead through two rounds of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Golf Championships Presented by Diamond Woods on Monday morning.

The Cavaliers posted the tournament’s two lowest round of the day with a 314 in the morning session and a 318 in the second tour of the Diamond Woods Golf Course in the afternoon for a 632.

The College of Idaho (347-335—682) holds a 35-stroke lead over Northwest Christian (363-354—717) for second place while Corban (436-432—868), competing without their top individual, ended the day in fourth place.

Concordia, ranked No. 6 in the latest NAIA poll, is looking to capture its third consecutive team title. The Cavaliers have won all four CCC regular season tournaments leading up to this week's conference championships.

Returning NAIA first-team All-American, Lindsay Aho (76-74—150) posted the top overall score in the opening day with a 2-over 74 in the second round of play to jump from second to first place in the standings. Concordia’s Kim Lindow (74-86—160) carded a tournament-low 2-over 74 in the initial round to lead the field, but slipped to third in the second round of play.

Northwest Christian’s Ashley King (77-77—154) used back-to-back 77s to swap places with Lindow to trail only Aho heading into the final round on Tuesday.

Cecelia Garcia (83-79—162), competing for C of I, cut four strokes off her opening score to move from a tie for fifth to third place while CU teammates Holly Speer (81-82—163), Sara Taylor (84-80—164) and Madeline Jarrett (83-82—165) held down the No. 5-7 positions.

Heidi Murphy (86-80—166) and Jocelyn Cracroft (86-86—172) gave the Coyotes of The College of Idaho three individuals inside the top 10 while Warner Pacific, competing without a full squad, was paced by Rachel Murphy (87-93—180), who concluded the day one stroke and spot away from entering the top 10.

Hailey Thomas (93-94—187) registered the lowest two-round score for Corban.

The third and final round will be contested tomorrow - Tuesday, April 20th - beginning at 8 a.m. with a shot gun start.
