CALDWELL, Idaho - Jarel Lewis roped his second walk-off single in as many weekends and Levi Mitchum tossed six innings of three hit ball, as The College of Idaho completed a doubleheader sweep of Corban College, 5-4 and 8-1, at Wolfe Field.

With the wins, the No. 21 ranked Coyotes (31-11, 21-5 NAIA West) recorded their fourth 30-win season in the last five years and closed within two games of idle British Columbia in the NAIA West North Division race.

Game 1 saw the Yotes take a 1-0 lead in the first on three-straight two-out singles, the last a Jared Arehart liner up the middle. The Warriors (11-34, 4-20) took advantage of three C of I errors in the top of the second to grab a 3-1 lead, but the Yotes knotted the score with two in the third on a Lewis sacrifice fly and a Ray Santiago RBI single.

Corban would retake the lead at 4-3 in the seventh on a Craig Baker suicide squeeze bunt, but Arehart respondd in the bottom of the frame, lining a base hit up the middle to score Jordan Lanman with the tying run. In the ninth, Kyle Douglas was hit by a pitch with one out and Arehart followed with a single, bringing up Lewis, who lined a ball into right-centerfield for the game-winner.

Ben Rosen picked up his league-leading eighth win of the season, allowing a season-high four runs and ten hits, but fanned seven in the complete game effort. Arehart went 4-for-5 in the win, with Lanman and Santiago recording a pair of hits. Jacob Kopra went the distance for the Warriors, surrendering five runs on 13 hits. with Tyler Lake recording three hits.

Game 2 was all Coyotes, scoring five times in the opening frame to break the game wide open. Diego Robles got things going with an RBI single, Kyle Douglas followed with an RBI infield single, with Lewis adding a two-run safety.

It was all Mitchum would need, as the junior allowed just a run on three hits with three strikeouts in his six inning effort.

Douglas went 3-for-3, with Garsez and Robles each recording two hits in the win, while Marc Labarthe had two hits in the loss for Corban.

The two teams close out the series with an 11 a.m. doubleheader tomorrow morning.
