Devan Telken to play hoops at College of Idaho in 2010-11
CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho men’s basketball coach Rod Jensen has announced the signing of Vallivue High School senior Devan Telken to an NAIA Letter of Intent for the 2010-11 season.
The left-handed 6-4 guard earned All-Southern Idaho Conference and 5A All-State honors as a senior, averaging nearly 15 points, five rebounds and two assists per game. He connected on 50-percent of his field goal attempts and knocked down 42-percent of his three-point attempts.
Telken helped the Falcons to back-to-back state tournament appearances, going a combined 42-10 during his final two years of high school under head coach Mike Chatterton.
“Coach Chatterton does a great job in player development,” said Jensen. “Devan has progressed year after year and will be a very good player for us at The C of I. He is a quality young man and has the ability to knock down shots anywhere on the court.”
Telken joins forwards Steve Anderson and Krispin Banks as members of the new recruiting class.
