NU Offers Coaches Clinic to Area Coaches
KIRKLAND, Wash. - Northwest University men's basketball program is offering its 3rd annual Spring Basketball Coaches Clinic on the Kirkland campus, Saturday, April 24. This year's clinic features a variety of coaches and speakers directed at the area's high school, junior high, middle school and youth coaches.
This year's list of presenters are:
Ryan Looney, former head coach at Eastern Oregon and now men's coach at Seattle Pacific University. Coach Looney was named the GNAC Coach of the Year in his first year at the helm of the Falcon men.
Maco Hamilton, boy's coach at Union High School in Vancouver, Wash. Union High just completed a successful 2009-10 season by winning the Washington State WIAA 3A state championship in just the third year of the school's existence.
Francis Williams, broadcast analyst for Fox Sports Northwest and KJR-AM in Seattle. Williams is former head boy's coach at Rainier Beach in Seattle and won a Washington state championship with Doug Christie who had a successful NBA career.
Bruce Brown of Proactive Coaching, nationally known presenter and former national presenter for the NAIA's Champions of Character program and former athletic director at NU. Bruce has spoken to high school, college and corporate audiences througout the U.S. and Canada.
John Van Dyke, NU's men's basketball coach. The Eagles just completed a successful CCC season and a semi-final finish in the post season tournament.
