EUGENE, Ore. - Maggie Miller broke the school record in the 1,500-meters in the 6th fastest time in the NAIA this spring, highlighting a monster afternoon by The College of Idaho track team at the Oregon Relays.

Miller placed second in a highly-competitive field in 4:35.19, over two seconds faster than the former school record, improving her NAIA "A" mark in the event – running the fastest time in the Cascade Conference this season. Two others, Stephanie Sparks (4:42.84) and Ashley Miller (4:43.27) also hit the NAIA "A" standard, in the event.

Three C of I runners hit NAIA "A" marks in the 5,000 meters, including Stephanie Helm (17:39.17) and Kristine Smith (18:03.88) on the women's side. with Paul Sartin (14:51.00) hitting the mark for the Coyote men. Molli Lee-Painter (18:24.37) narrowly hit the NAIA "B" standard for the Lady Yotes in the event.

The entire C of I team will compete tomorrow evening at the Pacific Twilight in Forest Grove, Ore. Highlighting the card for the Coyotes will be the men’s and women’s 4x800-meter relay teams attempting to qualify for the NAIA Championships.
