LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University softball team announced the signing of Ashleigh Arizana for the 2011 season.
Arizana, from Kuna, Idaho, excelled at Kuna High School. The incoming freshman was named first team Southern Idaho All-Conference as a pitcher from 2008 to 2010. She set a school strikeout record of 311. In 2008, KHS won the Idaho Class 4A state championships in softball.
"I am very excited that Ashleigh has chosen EOU to continue her academic and athletic career," Director of Athletics Rob Cashell said. "She has had a tremendous prep career and should provide an immediate impact to the program."
