CALDWELL, Idaho - Former College of Idaho pitcher, Ben Rosen, signed a professional contract to play for the Sioux Falls Pheasants of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball.
Rosen, who earned honorable mention NAIA All-America honors this past season in leading the Coyotes to the Opening Round of the NAIA National Tournament, will pitch out of the bullpen for manager Steve Shirley's club.
He joins fellow Coyote, Matt Zachary, who is also a reliever on the squad.
Two other former Coyotes are also playing professionally - Jason Simontacchi with the Lancaster Barnstormers in the Atlantic League, and Charlie Strandlund with the Victoria Seals of the Golden Baseball League.
