KIRKLAND, Wash. - Northwest University's Yanet Candido scored two goals in the Eagles 5-0 shut out win over Trinity Lutheran this afternoon in a non-conference contest.

After a Trinity Lutheran own goal, Northwest (3-0-2) began their scoring with Kirstie Perron (Jr., Snohomish, Wash.) putting in an unassisted goal at 33:29 in the first half as NU took a 2-0 lead at the half. In the second half, Candido (SR., Pasco, Wash.) scored her first goal at the 59:08 mark off an assist from teammate Lizzie Perkins (Soph., Seattle, Wash.), the first of her two assists on the day. Freshman Emma Neustel (Salem, Ore.) scored off Perkins' second assist at 63:35 and Candido scored her second goal on a chip over the goalkeeper from 17 yards out on the left side.

Trinity Lutheran (4-2), who suited up only 8 players for the game, managed just one shot on goal to Northwest's 31 as TLC goalie, Savannah Wood made 6 saves on the day. NU played with 9 players a portion of the second half.
