PRESCOTT, Ariz. – In the second of three games in five days in the state of Arizona, Corban's women's soccer team continued its best start in program history with a 4-2 victory over Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Saturday evening on Varsity Field.

With the win, the Warriors improve to 7-1-0 overall this season and Embry-Riddle falls to 2-5-1 in 2010.

Tonight's scoring began when senior Katie Hanson (Salem, Ore.) took a pass from freshman Audrey Sullivan (Puyallup, Wash.) for her first goal of the season and an early 1-0 Corban lead.

In the 24th minute, sophomore Emily Tsugawa (Gladstone, Ore.) netted her third goal of the season before freshman Tera McDonough (Boise, Idaho) scored her team-leading fifth goal in the 31st minute that would turn out to be the eventual game-winning score.

Less than one minute after McDonough's goal, Embry-Riddle would get on the board via a goal by Blair Boies.

The two-goal Warrior lead would hold until the 73rd minute when Sullivan netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season, which extended Corban's lead back to three goals.

Just over two minutes, ERAU would score the game's final goal when Lindsay Cowgill teamed with Kiley Frazier for the final tally of 4-2 in favor of the Warriors.

Freshman goalkeeper Alexis Beattie (Brea, Calif.) registered a game and season-high nine saves en route to picking up her sixth win of the season, while Embry-Riddle's Ciarra Pederson snagged six saves despite allowing four goals.

Corban would control the offensive flow of the game, as the Warriors out shot the host Eagles, 24-18, and collected four more corner kicks (7-3).

The Warriors will continue their road trip in the state of Arizona on Tuesday, September 21st, against Southwestern College beginning at 2:00 p.m. in Phoenix.
