ATHERTON, Calif. – The Oregon Tech Lady Owls scored a goal in the first minute and never looked back downing Menlo College 6-1. Oregon Tech improves to 5-2-0 on the season and has now won four straight. Menlo drops to 0-4-1 with the loss.

Rebekah Nisbet and Hayley Smith each scored twice with Kaila Dillon and Crystal Foster each adding a goal to carry Oregon Tech to the win.

The Owls out-shot Menlo 17-8 for the game and also carried a 12-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Meaghan Drost had 2 of Tech’s 4 assists in the game including a picture perfect through ball to Crystal Foster who put the visitors up 1-0 in the very first minute.

Nisbet scored her first goal unassisted on a long straight on shot in the 23rd minute.

Hayley Smith then went back to back scoring in the 53rd and 54th minute to give OIT a 4-0 advantage.

Nisbet then took a great cross off the foot of Brooke Cole and scored her 2nd goal of the day in the 73rd minute.

Kaila Dillon finished the Tech scoring as she scored off an assist from Drost in the 74th minute.

Oregon Tech’s Anna Tozier went the distance between the pipes for the win giving up a single goal to Menlo’s Megan McKee in the 88th minute.

The Lady Owls will stay in Northern California to play William Jessup University at 3:00 pm on Thursday in Rocklin before returning home to open up Cascade Collegiate play next Friday, October 1st against Corban College at 4:00 pm at Steen Sports Park.
