Junior Joey Duwe turned in the 12th Top 5 finish of his career Friday at the Linfield Invitational.
Duwe Ties for 4th, Corban Finishes 5th Overall

McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Junior Joey Duwe (Kingston, Wash.) turned in a 1-over 73 to finish in a three-way tie for fourth individually, as Corban's men's golf team finished fifth overall at the one-day Linfield Invitational Friday at Michelbook Country Club.
As a team, Corban posted a combined team score of 17-over 305 and finished behind tournament winner and invitational-host Linfield (300), Pacific (302), fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference member Warner Pacific (304), and Whitman (304).
Duwe posted his second Top 5 finish of the season, while fellow junior Michael May (Salem, Ore.), senior Jared Rust (Palo Cedro, Calif.), and junior Chris Dudley (Boise, Idaho) posted Top 15 individual finishes in the 50-player field.
May and Rust would both turn in scores of 5-over 77, while Dudley posted an 18-hole total of 6-over 78 to rounded out the Warriors' scoring quartet. Junior Joey Ziogas (Salem, Ore.) finished tied for 17th with a 7-over 79, while senior Steve Landis (Gladstone, Ore.) posted an eight-way tie for 28th with a score of 10-over 82 despite battling a head cold throughout the round.
Rounding out the eight-team tournament was Northwest Christian (321) in sixth place, Concordia (322) in seventh, and George Fox (333) in eighth.
Individually, Pacific's Max Bonk took home medalist honors with a 6-under 66 followed by Warner Pacific's Andrew Johnson (70) and Linfield's Alex Fitch (71) on the par-72 layout.
Corban's men's golf team will return to the links on Monday, October 11th, when the Warriors host the second Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament of the season at Creekside Golf Club with a shot gun start scheduled for 8:00 a.m.
