CALDWELL, Idaho - Despite a sloppy night from The College of Idaho volleyball team, the Lady Yotes persevered, defeating Northwest Christian, 25-13, 25-21, 25-19, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The win for the No. 18 ranked Lady Yotes (3-3, 1-0 CCC) was their 45th-straight league win at home and the squad remained unbeaten all-time against NCU.

Set 1 saw the Coyotes use a 13-2 run to erase a 7-6 Beacons (2-4, 0-1) lead – rolling to the win. Set 2 saw both teams fail to hit at a .100 clip, as a Lauren Bourgeau kill broke a 13-13 tie and the Yotes grabbed the frame. The finale saw NCU take a 19-17 lead on a C of I service error, only to watch the Lady Yotes run off the final eight points of the match – aided by four Beacon hitting errors.

Bourgeau led the Yotes with eight kills, with freshman Liz Myers adding seven. Madison Curtis had six spikes, with both Ciciley Fox and Sarah Harris recording five. Madie Machurek had a team-high 31 assists, with Whitney Owen leading all players with 25 digs.

NCU was led by nine kills from Maren Mansfield, while setter Cori Wallace recorded 23 assists, and Cassie Bishop led the Beacons defensively with 13 digs.

The Yotes return to action tomorrow night, hosting Corban University at 7 p.m.
