Greg Montgomery helped Coyotes defeat Gonzaga and Eastern Washington at All-Idaho Cup
MOSCOW, Idaho - The College of Idaho cross country teams opened up in impressive fashion at the All-Idaho Cup, hosted by the University of Idaho, at Virgil Phillips Farm Country Park.
The Coyote men placed second overall, defeating Division I teams Gonzaga and Eastern Washington, while the Lady Yotes placed third, defeating Eastern Washington.
The men were led by a pack of three in the Top-10 – Andrew Hugill in eighth (26:16), Greg Montgomery in ninth (26:16), and Dominic Bolin in tenth (26:22). The University of Idaho claimed the team title, while the Yotes were in second, Gonzaga in third, and Eastern in fourth.
The Lady Yotes were paced by a tenth-place finish from freshman Sora Klopfenstein (19:01) – as seven runners broke the 20-minute mark – including Kayloni Jones (19:06) in 11th and freshman Sarah Johnson (19:16) in 18th. Idaho won the women’s race, while Gonzaga placed second.
The teams return to action next weekend at the Northwest Nazarene Fall Harrier Classic in Nampa.
