EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University men’s basketball team fell to The College of Idaho on Saturday evening, 64-60 at the Morse Event Center.

The College of Idaho shot 53% in the first-half, establishing a ten-point lead at the intermission, 38-28. Northwest Christian challenged late, climbing to within three points with just a minute remaining, but the Yotes hung on, claiming the four-point victory.

Northwest Christian (7-14, 1-8 CCC) was led by Brian Hampton, who hit four threes and finished with 18 points. Kellen Spicer and Quentin Guidry added ten points apiece for the Beacons, who shot 45% from the field.

The College of Idaho (9-11, 6-3) was led by Kelly McCarty, who scored eleven points in the first half and finished with 15. Krispin Banks added eight points and a team-high seven rebounds and Matt Ballenger added eight points and four steals.

NCU will be back in action next Friday, playing host to Evergreen State to begin the second half of Cascade Collegiate Conference action at 7:30 pm.
