On the track, the Cavs received a pair of qualifiers in the mile and added another in the 800. Andria Scheese led the way in the mile with a 5:06.02 for automatic status while Sami Andrews, a senior soccer player making her track debut, opened with a 5:11.99 to reach provisional status. Linsie Michels, the indoor school record holder in the 800, toured the track in 2:19.54 for an eighth-place finish which netted a provisional qualifier.

“I was really excited with our marks, especially Gabi and our women’s middle distance crew,” CU head coach Randy Dalzell said. “Next time we will take quite a few more people, athletes that will be making their indoor debut and will be seeking qualifiers.”

The Cavaliers will return to action on Jan. 28 when they make a return trip to Seattle to compete in the UW Invitational.
