NU's Jackson Named Red Lion Player of Week
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Northwest (Wash.) University junior Jessalyn Jackson, a 6-0 center from Vancouver, Wash., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Jackson posted her seventh and eighth double-doubles of the season, averaging 23.5 points and 12.0 rebounds as the Eagles registered home victories over Warner Pacific and No. 18 Concordia. In an 86-71 win over Concordia, Jackson exploded for 32 points and 12 rebounds as the Eagles moved into a tie for first-place with the Cavaliers. Against Warner Pacific, she had 15 points and 14 rebounds. NU improved to 13-5 overall and 7-2 in the CCC.
