Kia Gibson, who helped Northwest to a pair of road victories last week, was named Red Lion Player of the Week for a second time this season.

Kia Gibson Earns Red Lion Honors for 2nd Time

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Northwest (Wash.) University’s Kia Gibson, a 6-0 senior center from Spokane, Wash., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Gibson, who earned the award for the second time this season, came off the bench in both NU wins last weekend to average 19.5 points per game while shooting an impressive .875 from the floor.
 
Gibson had 23 points and six rebounds in a win over Corban, and she added 16 points and six rebounds in a victory over Northwest Christian (Ore.). NU improved to 15-5 overall and a league-best 9-2 in CCC action.
