SALEM, Ore. – Imagine if you had done something at least once in nearly 800 straight games over a time span of 24-plus years.

That is exactly what Corban's men's basketball team has done when shooting three-point baskets. The Warriors could possibly reach a milestone this Friday against Warner Pacific if one of Corban's players can make a shot from long distance.

On December 1, 1987, then-Western Baptist College went 0-for-7 from beyond the three-point line in a game against then-Western Oregon State College. Since then, the Warriors have gone 799 straight games making at least one three-pointer in a game.

This feat is a men's basketball national record among four-year schools, as NCAA Division I member UNLV is second with 783-and-counting.

The Warriors reached the following three-point milestones during the streak...

No. 100 - February 6, 1990 vs. Concordia
No. 200 - January 21, 1993 at Concordia
No. 300 - December 18, 1995 at Saint Martin's
No. 400 - November 21, 1997 at Willamette
No. 500 - March 16, 2001 vs. Ohio Valley (NCCAA Tournament)
No. 600 - November 18, 2004 vs. North Georgia (Oregon Tech Classic)
No. 700 - November 30, 2007 at Evergreen

Besides the current streak, Warrior men's basketball also made an NAIA record 564 three-pointers during the 1989-90 season to go along with a school-record 25 three-pointers against Southern Oregon during the 1990-91 season that tied an NAIA single-game record.

So far this season, Corban has knocked down 120 shots from beyond the arc in 17 games. If the streak remains alive, the Warriors should surpass the 850-mark during the 2012-13 season.
