BOX SCORE
PORTLAND, Ore. – Jordan Carter scored six of his game and career-high 29 points in overtime, including the deciding jumper in the final minute, as Corban defeated Concordia, 79-78, in Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s basketball action Saturday night at Cavalier Gymnasium.

Leading 69-67 in the final minute of regulation, Concordia’s Kevan West blocked Erik Conrath’s layup with 10 seconds remaining, but Carter grabbed the rebound and got the layup to tie the game. The visitors led for most of the extra period, taking a two point lead on the opening possession and leading by as many as four points at 75-71, but Drew Preuninger’s three-pointer with 1:08 to play gave the Cavs a 76-75 lead. Carter’s layup at the other end put the Warriors up 77-76 with just under a minute to play, but Austin Dunn dropped a shot from the right side of the basket to put CU back up 78-77. Carter made the deciding shot to put Corban up 79-78 with 28 seconds left, and Preuninger missed a three-point attempt in the closing seconds that would have given CU the victory.
