KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Oregon Tech women's basketball team fought back from a 10-point halftime deficit to earn a 68-61 victory over The Evergreen State College in Cascade Conference play tonight at Danny Miles Court.

A sluggish start put Oregon Tech behind early, but an 8-0 run would quickly put the Owls up 10-8.
The Geoducks rebounded to go up 21-13 with 7:47 to play in the first half, but back-to-back Aundrea Albright baskets, along with a Kaitlin Nielsen layup, cut the Owl deficit to just four points.
The next four minutes went TESC’s way, as the visitors jumped out to a double-digit lead and go up 36-26 at the half.

Tech would battle back over the first eight minutes of the second period to claw within three points, and on Brittany Cherry jumper, tied the game at 50-50 with 8:45 to play.

Leading 55-52 after a Crissy Watts 3-point field goal, Watts turned the next play into a steal and layup to give OIT a 57-52 lead. Still clinging to the five point lead, Karissa Dixon found Watts for another layup to give the Owls all the momentum they would need, pulling away for the 68-61 win.

Aundrea Albright, plagued by foul trouble most the game, still managed to score a game-high 17 points in the win. Crissy Watts finished with 15 points, including several key baskets in the second half run, to go with 4 assists.

Vanessa Caskey led the Geoducks with 15 points in the loss. Danielle Swain had the games only double-double with a 14 point and 14 rebound effort for TESC. Latifa Ward added 11 points and seven rebounds.
