Austen Giesie shot a one-under 71 to lead C of I to win over NNU
NAMPA, Idaho - Austen Giesie shot a one-under 71 to lead The College of Idaho men's golf team to a four-stroke victory over rival Northwest Nazarene at Centennial Golf Course.
The Yotes team total of 293 was the second-lowest score by a C of I team in program history - defeating the Crusaders for the third-straight time.
Giesie led a Coyote contingent that took four of the top five spots on the leaderboard, as Tyler Thurston shot a one-over 73, Casey Dyck carded a two-over 74, with Kyle DeLorey recording a three-over 75. Nick Hardy of NNU earned medalist honors with a two-under 70.
Both C of I teams return to the course on Monday and Tuesday, competing in the 54-hole Corban Invitational at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Ore.
