EOU's Morehead Featured Tonight on KPAM
PORTLAND, Ore. – Kaki Morehead, who has guided Eastern Oregon University’s volleyball team to the upper reaches of the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings, will be one of the featured guests on KPAM radio’s Northwest Sports Tonight with Ron Callan Monday evening.
Morehead’s appearance on the sports talk show, which originates in Portland, will be at 7:25 p.m. PT. Fans outside KPAM’s listening area can tune in and hear the show online at www.kpam.com.
The Mountaineer volleyball team is currently alone in second place in the CCC with a 12-1 record. EOU trails sixth-ranked College of Idaho – a team it will face on the road in a big matchup Friday night in Caldwell, Idaho – by just one game in the conference standings.
EOU has won 14 of its last 15 matches after beginning the season with an 0-6 record.
It has been a trying season for the Mountaineers, who faced tragedy just prior to the start of the campaign when second-year head coach Hailey Pearce died in a traffic accident. Morehead, who previously coached the Mountaineers before giving up the coaching duties following the 2009 season, stepped back in to assume the coaching reins in mid-August.
