Oregon Tech Rolls by Corban
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech outside hitter Joey Parnell pounded out 21 kills and the Owls rolled to a four-set victory over Corban University 3-1 (25-9, 24-26, 25-15, 25-19) tonight in Cascade Conference volleyball action.
Parnell added nine digs and three aces to go with her match-high in kills. Jennifer Saltenberger and Aurora Penoyar recorded eight kills each, while Kai Evans-Bautista added seven in the victory for Tech. Sarah Svedin finished with 42 assists and six digs, while Mindy Nalder and Marie Baumann tied with a team-high 13 digs.
For Corban, Chandra Baskoro and Olivia Shropshire led the offensive effort with seven kills apiece, followed by Tiffany Land with six. Megan Dees recorded 22 assists, while Bethany Durre finished with a match-high 14 digs and Baskoro 11 to lead the Beacon defense in the loss.
Oregon Tech travels to Washington to continue CCC action playing at Northwest University on Friday, October 28th and The Evergreen State College on Saturday.
In their lone CCC match next week, Corban will host Northwest Christian University on Friday, October 28th.
