(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) College of Idaho scored twice in each half on their way to downing Oregon Tech Monday afternoon 4-0 in Cascade Conference play 4-0 at Steen Sports Park on a blistery day. The Yotes improve 5-8-1 on the year and 3-3-1 in CCC play. Oregon Tech slips to 5-7-1 and 3-4-0 in CCC Play.
College of Idaho got on the scoreboard just 8 minutes into the match when Brittney Lacey scored after a Tech defender tried to clear a ball in right in front of the OIT goal, the ball deflected off of Lacey for the score.
Chelsea Heffner gave C of I a 2-0 lead when she took a Devhan Morgan cross and scored from 25 yards out against the wind in the 26th minute.
C of I dominated play in the first half, outshooting OIT 10-4 to take a 2-0 lead at the halfway point.
The Yotes picked up right where they left off as Kayla Bigelow took a Jordan Huttash cross and chipped in a shot from 7 yards out just 3 minutes into the second half to give the visitors a 3-0 lead.
Alex Suggs then gave C of I a 4-0 win as took a long cross along the right sideline from Jessica Ayala and shot a high arching shot from 30 yards out just out of the reach of Oregon Tech’s Keeper.
For the game the Yotes had a 23-11 advantage in shots and a 13-4 advantage in shots on goal.
C of I also had a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Oregon Tech will next travel to Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington on Saturday, October 29 at 3:00pm before wrapping up CCC play on Monday, October 31st at Evergreen State in Olympia, WA at 1:00 pm. College of Idaho will wrap up CCC play hosting Northwest Christian University on Saturday, October 29th and Corban on Monday, October 31st both games will be in Caldwell, ID
