VICTORIA, B.C.—Placing four individuals inside the top eight, the Concordia women’s golf team placed second overall to the University of Victoria at the Vikes Shootout on Tuesday.
Concordia (316-316—632) repeated its effort from Monday with its second straight score of 316 to finish nine stroke back of the host Vikes.
Well back of the Cavaliers, Grand View University (344-341—685) placed third overall while Simon Fraser (340-364—704) concluded the two-round and two-day tournament in fourth.
Despite carding the low round of the day, Concordia’s Sara Molyneux (76-74—150) ended the trip four strokes back of individual winner Megan Woodland (70-76—146). Sunny Powers (75-79—154) hung on to fourth place with UViks Michaela Abey (78-75—153) and Brynn Tomie (82-77—159) sandwiching the CU sophomore in third and fifth place, respectively.
Cari Chow (77-83—160) came in at sixth place for UVik’s final scorer, just ahead of CU’s Holly Speer (80-81—161) and Madison Alamillo (79-83—162).
Jenna Boyle (85-82—167) dropped three strokes from her opening round to finish in a tie for 12th place while Brenda Fasse (98-86—183) cut 11 strokes off her opening round to end up in 19th and Mary-Grace Jenks (86-87—173) finished one swing off her first round score to conclude the tourney in 16th place.  
The Canadian trip marked the final fall event for the Cavs, who will next compete at the Concordia Invitational which they will host on March 19-20.
