-- Northwest University (Wash.) president Dr. Joseph Castleberry has a great view of the NU soccer fields from his campus office in the Randall Barton Building, which is the former headquarters of the Seattle Seahawks. Dr. Castleberry shares his thoughts on the Eagles, who are enjoying tremendous all-around success on the field of play this fall.
-- Conference postseason play gets underway this week in a host of fall sports. Hear about the number of nationally ranked teams competing in Saturday’s CCC Cross Country Championships Presented by Activate, including thoughts from standout Northwest University student-athlete Seth Bridges, who is one of the favorites in the men’s race.
-- The CCC women’s soccer tournament gets underway on Saturday, as top seed Concordia hosts College of Idaho and second seed Southern Oregon entertains Northwest University. Concordia’s Brittany Orr says this is the time of year the Cavs live for.
-- In men’s soccer, the regular season ends this weekend, but the three CCC tournament berths have been decided. Hear what Northwest University’s Joel Pelton and Concordia’s Evan Denmark have to say about their teams as the postseason nears.
-- In one of the biggest upsets in recent memory, Evergreen’s fast-improving women’s soccer team defeated then third-ranked Concordia 1-0 last week to hand the Cavaliers their first conference loss in more than two years and only their second setback since 2005. Second-year coach Adam Fenster talks about his Geoducks, who were named the CCC Verizon Team of the Week.
