Knight Men Fall to Olivet Nazarene
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Warner Pacific fell to a hot shooting Olivet Nazarene squad today 99-85 in the first game of the Daytona-Mitsubishi Shootout in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The Tigers shot a 55 percent clip for the game, including 9 of 17 from three point range, while the Knights managed 43 percent from the floor. While the score was close for much of the game, ONU pulled away late in the second period and led by as many as 23 points. The Knights rallied to close the gap, but it was too little to late and suffered the 14 point loss.
Biniam Tadele led WP with 16 points, while William Sharp added 13 points and seven assists.
Ben Warner dropped in a game high 29 points for Olivet Nazarene.
Warner Pacific will face Talladega College tomorrow at 3pm PST in the tournament consolation game.
