EUGENE, Ore. – After being narrowly defeated by No. 10 Northwest University on Monday night, the Northwest Christian University men’s basketball team responded in strong fashion on Tuesday, defeating The Evergreen State University, 96-77. It was the highest point total of the season for the Beacons who shot 50% from the floor and turned the ball over just ten times.

NCU (7-8, 1-3 CCC) had four players in double-figures, led by Jordan Buhler who finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Freshman Travis Pacos (pictured) added a career-high 21 points, adding a team-high three steals. Brian Hampton scored 15 points including a 2-for-2 effort from three, and Brody McGowan came off the bench to score 14 points, shooting 7-for-7 from the field to go with eight rebounds.

Evergreen (1-12, 0-3) was led by Maurice Tolliver who, despite shooting just 4-for-22, managed to register 19 points along with eight assists, two blocks and two steals. Four others hit double-digits for the Geoducks including Travis Wagner for 15, Mike DeRosier for 14, Larry Green for 12 and Elzie Dickens for ten.
