PORTLAND, Ore – Treavone Bowie scored a game high 19 points, including five makes from three point range, to lead Warner Pacific to a 100-65 win over New Hope Christian tonight at Bart Valentine Court.

The host Knights improve to 11-3 overall this season, while the Deacons fall to 2-13.

While the Knights never trailed during the game, visiting NHCC hung around in the first period. The Deacons tied the game twice, and a Harley Turner jump shot cut the WP lead to 27-23. Bowie responded with one of his makes from distance, and the Knights scored 11 straight to gain some breathing room. Sean Gaines scored a layup for WP as time expired to give WP a 47-32 lead at the half.

Warner Pacific took control in the second period as the depth of the Knights began to take its toll. NHCC’s Cameron Fry his a trey to make the score 74-56, but WP proceeded to score 17 of the next 19 points to put the game out of reach. 12 different players would score for WP as their lead reached as many as 37 points.

In addition to Bowie’s 19, Gaines finished with 16 points and nine rebounds for Warner Pacific. Dane Johnson passed for 10 assists, and freshman Ryan Parks added 11 points.

Turner scored a team high 17 for the Deacons. Forest Stolk contributed 13 points and a game high 11 rebounds.
