No. 6 Oregon Tech Takes Out Corban in CCC Opener
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Five Owls finished in double figures as No. 6 Oregon Tech rolled past Corban University tonight by a 93-71 final in the 2011-12 Cascade Conference season opener at Danny Miles Court.
The Hustlin’ Owls move to 9-1 overall and 1-0 in the CCC standings, while also running their home win streak to 62-straight dating back to March, 2008. Tech will host Northwest Christian University Saturday.
Corban falls to 5-5 on the season and 0-1 in CCC play and will visit Southern Oregon University tomorrow in CCC action.
Bryant Sentman led Tech with 16 points, including a 7-for-8 effort from the field and 2-of -3 from long range. Bobby Hunter followed with 15 to go with four rebounds, five assists and three steals. Scotty Riddle, back from a three game hiatus, netted 14 points with Jason Gamblin adding 13 and Kyle Gomez 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals. David Clarke set a career-high with 10 assists to go with his seven points in the win for Tech.
Corban’s Jordan Carter led all scoring with a game-high 19 point and added four assists in the loss. Erik Cronrathe finished 4-for-4 from the field and 7-of-10 at the free throw line to record 15 points, followed by Jacob Kopra with 10 points. James Green and Josiah Sebens combined for 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Warriors.
