CALDWELL, Idaho -- Jordan Carter canned a game-winning 15-foot jump shot with five seconds left, helping Corban University to a 64-62 victory over The College of Idaho, tonight in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

After the Coyotes (12-15, 9-7 CCC) rallied from a 12-point second half deficit to tie the score at 62-62 on a Krispin Banks lay-up with 14 seconds remaining, Corban got the ball in Carter’s hands, with the freshman driving into the paint, splashing home the step-back floater to give the Warriors the lead. Miguel Rodriguez would get a chance in the waning seconds, but did not get a shot off before the final horn.

The win for the Warriors (16-13, 6-11) secured their first season sweep of the Yotes since 2005-06 and ended a C of I seven game home win streak.

Corban, which led by as many as 14 in the opening half, held a 47-35 advantage with just under 13 minutes to play, but the Yotes would use a 27-15 run – knotting the game on the Banks basket inside the final 30 seconds.

Ian Logan led all players with 16 points, while Nash Keene and Carter each had 14 in the win for the Warriors.

Seniors Kelly McCarty and Steve Peres had quality games in their final regular-season home contest, as McCarty led the Yotes with 16 points, while Peres added 13. Banks had 15 points and seven rebounds in the loss.

The Yotes close out the regular season next weekend at Evergreen State on Friday and Northwest on Saturday.
