Imhof, Kurdy Capture Weekly Softball Honors
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Two student-athletes, College of Idaho's Kalie Kurdy and Oregon Tech's Jackie Imhof, have earned Red Lion Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, respectively.
Player – College of Idaho’s Kalie Kurdy, a 5-8 senior catcher from Boise, Idaho, has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week. In six games at the Simpson University Invitational in Redding, Calif., Kurdy went 11 of 21 (.524) at the plate, scored six runs and drove in six runs. College of Idaho went 3-3 in the tourney.
Honorable mention: Ali Paz, Concordia; Brooke Davis, Northwest Christian.
Pitcher – Oregon Tech’s Jackie Imhof, a 6-0 senior from Portland, Ore., has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week. In two appearances covering 12 innings at the Simpson University Invitational in Redding, Calif., Imhof allowed just two earned runs. Her weekend was highlighted by a 13-strikeout, no-hit performance in a 7-0 victory over Menlo (Calif.) College.
