Several Make National Qualifying Marks at Warner Pacific 50/50 Meet

PORTLAND, Ore. – Several athletes hit NAIA National Indoor qualifying marks during two evenings of competition at the Warner Pacific 50/50 Last Chance Meet held at Marshall High School.

On the women’s side, Sora Klopfenstein from College of Idaho ran to a “B” standard in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:29.60.

A pair of Concordia athletes and a runner from College of Idaho earned “A” standards in the 5000 meters. Sami Andrews (17:59.18),and Samantha Robert (18:18.22) from CU, and Kristine Smith from C of I (18:04.92) all punched their ticket to the National Championships.

Concordia women’s 4000 meter distance medley relay team easily qualified with an “A” standard with a time of 12:15.89.

Amanda Federicci earned an an "A" standard mark in the wight throw with a toss of 15.38 meters. 

Kayla Xavier from Concordia improved her NAIA leading mark in the shot put with a toss of 14.30 meters.

For the men, Paul Sartin made the “A” standard in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:36.40, and Concordia’s Bo Johnson improved on an earlier “B” standard effort with a weight throw of 17.27 meters to move his mark to an “A” standard.

Warner Pacific’s Tyeson Wood broke school records in the 60 meters (7.27 seconds) and the 200 meters (22.51 seconds).
