PORTLAND, Ore. -- A pair of student-athletes from College of Idaho have swept the Red Lion Pitcher and Player of the Week honors for the period Feb. 14-20.

Player – College of Idaho’s Todd Griffiths, a 5-11 junior from Meridian, Idaho, has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week. In six games, Griffiths batted .600 with four doubles and five RBI’s as the Yotes went 6-0. He also tossed a four-hit shutout in a victory over NCAA Division III Whitman.

Honorable mention: Jonathan Ramirez, Corban; Jared Young, Concordia.

Pitcher – College of Idaho’s Joshua Orr, a 6-1 junior from Port Townsend, Wash., has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week. In his only outing, Orr tossed a six-hit shutout in a 4-0 victory over Dickinson State (N.D.). Orr walked none and fanned seven in running his record to 2-0.
