Corban-Western Oregon Game Cancelled
SALEM, Ore. – Wednesday's single seven-inning softball game between Corban University and Western Oregon University that was scheduled to be played on Warrior Field in Salem has been cancelled due to the amount of rain that the Willamette Valley received over the past twenty-four hours.
Fourth-year head coach Nathan Ohta in conjunction with Corban's athletic administration made the call earlier this morning after seeing how Warrior Field handled the rain overnight. Unfortunately, the field was deemed unplayable and the game was cancelled.
There is currently no make-up date scheduled, as neither team's schedules can allow it at this time. Pending the Warriors' trip to the Spokane area next week, the game might be made up if Corban cannot get its games against Whitworth and Walla Walla in due to weather in Eastern Washington.
