PORTLAND, Ore. -- Concordia University’s Jourdan Sweeney, a 6-5 junior from Los Angeles, Calif., has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Sweeney averaged 21 points and 10.5 rebounds in a pair of wins last week, highlighted by his buzzer-beating 3-pointer to lift the Cavs to a 72-69 win over Northwest Christian. Sweeney finished with 21 points vs. the Beacons. One night earlier, he had 21 points and 14 rebounds in an 82-67 win over Corban. He shot .704 (19 of 27) from the field in the two games.
