A Colin Stock grand slam led to an 8-0 win in the opener, while OIT took game 2 by a 2-1 final to sweep Corban University in non-conference play today in Medford. Both teamswill conclude a four-game series beginning at noon tomorrow.

MEDFORD, Ore. – Oregon Tech pitching allowed just one run on the day as the Hustlin’ Owls swept a non-conference doubleheader over Corban University, winning 8-0 in game 1 and 2-1 in the nightcap.

Oregon Tech improves to 7-12 on the season and plays a doubleheader versus Corban tomorrow before resuming NAIA West south division play this weekend at home versus Simpson University.

Colin Stock hit a grand slam in the midst of Oregon Tech's six-run sixth inning, while Matt Bellando and Mike Mastroianni combined to pitch a one-hitter in game 1. Stock finished with four RBI in the opener, while adding a double in game 2. Trent Smith doubled in each of both games, while driving in two runs in the opener. Phil Sacks and Wade Elliot drove in a run each, with Tommy Wood adding a double in game 1.

Ryan Hayden drove in the eventual game-winning run in the eighth inning of game 2, as Tech held on to take the nightcap by a 2-1 final. Taylor Bars went seven innings, allowing Corban just three hits while striking out four. Aaron Jorgensen went the final two innings, adding three strikeouts to get the save. Smith, Hayden and Zack Earle added two hits each, with Earle adding a double.
